Yearbook training

It's 11:30 am and I've been working in the yearbook room, and the kids are learning how to "do" yearbook.  There is a lot to go into our yearbooks these days, as they are all done digitally and photos are under certain specs.  The process just overwhelms the kids at the beginning of the year but by January they are like professional marketing consultants that understand In Design and Photoshop more than I do.  I am always impressed with all the work they put into it.  These kids give up a lot from their summer to make this work.  To the left is the original Loara Crest. Do you know what the symbols in the shield mean?
